Dear Colleagues:

    It is my great pleasure and privilege to invite you to Hangzhou, China to participate in the 6th Nephrology Update West Lake Forum May 10 to 14, 2017. The organizing committee of the 6th annual Forum has invited a panel of outstanding physicians and physician-scientists in the fields of nephrology and renal physiology from the world's leading institutions to serve as faculty for the Forum.

    The Forum will be held in the Crown Plaza Hangzhou Xanadu Resort Hotel in Hangzhou. The scientific program for the 6th Forum is being prepared by both the organizing and scientific committees. There will be major coverage of latest important clinical trials and advances of interest to practicing nephrologists as well as clinician researchers in the field of nephrology and renal physiology. Recent translational research results will be incorporated into the Forum along with new advances in clinical practice. Topics will include diabetic nephropathy, renovascular disease, genetic pathways in renal damage associated with acute kidney injury (AKI) and its diagnosis and treatment, chronic kidney diseases (CKD), kidney transplant and renal replacement therapies.

    The 2016 program follows on the strong success of past years. The organizing committee of the Forum is looking forward to welcoming you to Hangzhou, one of China's loveliest cities. We anticipate ongoing support from the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and American Society of Nephrology (ASN) in addition to organizing institutions including Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Changzheng Hospital Second Military University School of Medicine and the First-Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University.

    We look forward to seeing you at the Forum and believe you will find Hanghzhou welcoming, and the Forum an enriching experience.
